Board and Staff

BOARD OF DIRECTORS -
Family Outreach is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of seven members. The Board’s responsibility is to determine Family Outreach’s mission, purpose, policies, and to provide general direction. This is accomplished by maintaining a diverse and experienced Board who provide guidance and insight through their legal, financial, community, and consumer perspectives.

MANAGEMENT TEAM -
The Management Team consists of the Executive Director, a Program Manager from each of our three offices, a Supported Living Program Manager, and a Business Manager. The Management Team assists the Executive Director in carrying out the day to day operations of the agency by providing staff supervision and department management.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR -
Family Outreach is managed by an Executive Director whose responsibility is to implement policies as well as plan, organize and direct staff, and coordinate the organization’s activities to fulfill the mission.

The Executive Director provides program accountability to the Board of Directors by maintaining and monitoring the procedures appropriate to carry out the policies established by the Board. The Executive Director acts as the agency representative to develop funding contacts and completes an annual agency plan. The Executive Director provides direct supervision to the Management Team and indirectly supervises other staff through the agency’s chain of command.

PROGRAM MANAGER -
The Program Managers are located in each Family Outreach office.  They come from a variety of professional backgrounds, serving several years in the field as Family Support Specialists.  They provide day to day staff supervision, support, and development.   Program Managers assist the Executive Director in a variety of capacities, including Agency planning and providing specific information to the Director on program activiites.

BUSINESS MANAGER -
The Business Manager is responsible for management of the agency’s business office. The Business Manager oversees all financial and human resources activities, and computer administration.

DIRECT STAFF EMPLOYMENT MANAGER -
The Direct Staff Employment Manager is located in the Bozeman Family Outreach office.   She oversees the activities of Local Employment Coordinator in each office.

PROGRAM STAFF -
The Program Staff consists of Family Support Specialists, Individual Support Coordinators, and Family Support Coordinators. The Program Staff provide education, support, and resources directly to the individuals and families whom we serve.

FAMILY SUPPORT SPECIALIST (FSS) -
Family Support Specialists provide professional services to families through a direct home visiting model.  They come from a variety of professional backgrounds in human services.  In partnership with families, they develop, implement, and evaluate an Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP).  This consists of family and child educational activities, and support services necessary to help children and their families grow and change in a positive direction.  Several staff have advanced their careers by completing leadership training offered by the agency.  Through this educational development they can lead small groups and provide coaching/mentoring support to new or existing staff.

INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT COORDINATOR (ISC) -
Individual Support Coordinators serve developmentally disabled adults as they live interdependently in the community.  They come from a variety of professional human service backgrounds serving adults with disabillities.  Their role is to assist the person in increasing their abilities, helping them become self-sufficient, productive, and successful members of the community.  This is accomplished through the development, implementation, and evaluation of an Individual Plan (IP) with the consumer, the case manager, and others who are important in their lives.

FAMILY SUPPORT COORDINATOR (FSC) -
Family Support Coordinators meet the needs of the community through the identification, intake, and support of children and adults who meet eligibility for our services.  They have professional backgrounds similar to those of Family Support Specialists.  Additionally, Family Support Coordinators engage in community awareness activities to promote our services.  They also develop limited service plans to people who require our services on a less frequent basis.

LOCAL EMPLOYMENT COORDINATOR (LEC) -

Local Employment Coordinators recruit and coordinate Direct Service Providers who provide respite, habilitation, companion, and other direct services to the children and adults whom we serve.

ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF -
The Administrative Staff consists of three areas that provide essential support to the agency and staff: the Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director, Fiscal Staff in the Business office, and a Secretary in each office.

Administrative Assistant -
The Administrative Assistant provides direct support to the Executive Director and acts as an agency liaison with outside contractors and professionals as needed. The Administrative Assistant provides technical assistance to other agency staff in administrative procedures and acts as an inter/intra agency liaison for general agency accepted practices.

FISCAL STAFF
The Assistant Business Manager performs the Human Resource activities for the agency including providing support and information to the agency staff regarding agency benefits and Human Resource policies.

The Accounting Technicians provide direct fiscal support to the Business Manager. They are responsible for processing and maintaining accounts payables and receivables, as well as various other basic accounting procedures. As needed, these positions also provide general administrative and fiscal support work to the agency.

SECRETARIAL STAFF
Each of the program offices has a secretary that is responsible for direct support to that office. They have a variety of administrative and clerical duties that are necessary to help run the organization and their individual offices efficiently. They serve as an information manager for the office and are usually the first contact for people contacting the office.
