The Family Outreach, Inc. Board of Directors is pleased to announce Jason Butcher as their new Executive Director.  He will guide Family Outreach in their continued success in helping families and friends teach skills, advocate for, and provide support to children and adults with special needs to ensure the same opportunities that all Montanans enjoy in the community, in friendships, and in life.  His responsibilities include planning, developing and implementing systems for the provision of services to individuals with disabilities throughout a twelve county region and overseeing the organization’s staff, budget, policies, and facilities.

“I believe in the mission of Family Outreach – every Montanan should be able to live fully and enjoy their community, friendships, and life!  I am a lifelong supporter of students/individuals and their families working hard to learn and strive to reach their goals,” Butcher said.  Butcher earned a bachelor’s degree in education from Eastern Montana College and a Master of Education in School Administration from Montana State University.  Butcher has a distinguished career in education and administration including working as an educator and principal and serving as Superintendent of Schools for Lewistown Public Schools and Shields Valley Public Schools.  Butcher recently served in several capacities for the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services.

Family Outreach Board President Annette Baird said, “we are excited to welcome Jason as the next Executive Director. Jason has an exceptional work history, strong leadership skills and a drive to empower families and individuals.  He will be a great fit for our organization.”

Butcher will take the helm from Mike Mahoney who is retiring after serving Family Outreach for seven years.  Butcher begins employment with Family Outreach, Inc., on June 12, 2019.

Jackie Mohler M.Ed LBA Promoted to Clinical Director

Family Outreach, Inc. is excited to announce the promotion of Jackie Mohler to Clinical Director.  In her new capacity, Jackie will be focus on planning, leadership, and delivery of systems, programs and services for supporting children and adults with special needs to ensure the same opportunities that all Montanans enjoy in the community, in friendships, and in life.  This will include research and development of service delivery models, overseeing behavioral analysis services, and formulating programs.

Jackie Mohler has a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University in San Antonio Texas, and a Master of Education from Montana State University.  She is a Licensed Behavior Analyst, and was instrumental in development  of licensure for behavioral analyst in Montana and expanding the provision of these services at Family Outreach, Inc.  Jackie has served Family Outreach as a Family Support Specialist and then a Program Manager since 2007.  She came to Family Outreach with extensive prior experience serving individuals with intellectual disabilities.  Jackie assumes her new role on June 10, 2019.
